Playa Hotels & Resorts Covid Testing Update
Effective January 26, 2021, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention has expanded requirements for a negative COVID-19 test result to all air-travel passengers entering the United States.
As a result, Playa Hotels & Resorts offers complimentary COVID-19 antigen testing, which is accepted as part of the CDC’s expanded U.S. travel requirements. Complimentary antigen tests are available to registered guests returning to the U.S. from any of our 17 resorts across Mexico and throughout the Caribbean.

- Complimentary Antigen testing January 22, 2021, through April 30, 2021
- Based on a 3-Night Stay in Mexico and the Dominican Republic
- Based on 5-Night Stay in Jamaica – $49 per Antigen test for stays less than 5-Nights in Jamaica resorts
- Concessions for large groups/weddings staying less than 5-nights|
- Testing results guaranteed or we provide a room while you wait|
- Up to 50% discount on accommodations for quarantined guests

Stress-Free Guaranteed
If through no fault of their own, a guest does not receive test results prior to departure, complimentary room accommodation is provided from the original departure date through the earliest possible departure after test results are delivered.
Test Positive for Covid-19?
First and foremost, we work with the guest and local health authorities regarding the best course of action.
We provide quarantine services for guests that test positive for COVID-19. As part of our quarantine service, we offer up to a 50% discount on accommodations for guests needing to quarantine up to 14 days
Terms & Conditions
- Complimentary testing only applies to COVID-19 antigen testing on-property for guests traveling to the United States, and as accepted per the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention travel regulations that take effect on January 26, 2021
- Concessions to the minimum stay requirements for large groups/weddings are at the discretion of Playa Hotels & Resort
- Results Guarantee applies to guests that perform an antigen test on-property three days prior to departure and, through no fault of their own, do not receive the results prior to departure. In this case, Playa Hotels & Resorts will provide a complimentary room for the time period between the original departure date and the earliest possible departure date after results are received.
- Results Guarantee only applies to the cost of a standard-category room under the all-inclusive plan and does not include any additional on-property spend or incidental charges such as spa services or private cabanas
- 50% discount for guests that test positive and remain on the property for up to 14 days
- Pending final approvals for onsite testing at our Jamaica resorts
