Breeze Airways is adding its first international flights from Pittsburgh International Airport as the carrier continues its growth in the market.
On Tuesday, May 5th, 2026, Breeze Airways announced a multi-route expansion from Pittsburgh (PIT) that will bring nonstop service to Cancun, Mexico, and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, as the airline’s first international service ever offered from the airport.
Service to Cancun, Mexico (CUN) and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ) will begin January 7th, 2027. The new routes will operate three times a week seasonally on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays flown with 137-seat Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
Cancun and Punta Cana are Breeze’s first international routes to join its Pittsburgh network. The carrier began international flights in January 2026 shortly after gaining flag carrier status from the FAA, granting Breeze the necessary certification for operating routes outside the U.S.
To Cancun, Breeze joins existing scheduled service offered by American Airlines and Southwest seasonally, and charter service by Apple Vacations and Vacation Express. To Punta Cana, Breeze also joins American’s scheduled service, launched in December 2025, and charter service on Apple Vacations and Vacation Express.
Breeze’s three times weekly schedule expands PIT’s nonstop service to Cancun and Punta Cana, offering increased capacity and significantly more schedule flexibility for travelers.
