This stunning resort offers hotel rooms plus suites, within two hotels Colonial and Kantenah. The accent is on a horizontal flow with easy access to all facilities and a white beach which curves around a peninsula on the Caribbean Sea. There are four swimming pools, one lagoon size with Grecian columns encasing bubbling min pools and a children's pool. Plus two quiet pools set in lush tropical vegetation (one with a spa).
Emphasis is on dining, quality food and beverage with show cooking and theme dinners. Imagine, seven restaurants, four a la carte with Mexican, Oriental, Mediterranean, plus a steak house and three buffet restaurants with continental, local and Creole cuisine. The Big Blue Palapa fronts the magnificent pool and beach setting and offers evening jazz. Hemmingway's is a non-smoking bar with games while Churchill's is the place for an after dinner liqueur and cigar.

The hotel offers its guests 414 luxurious and spacious rooms, all of them with a fully-fitted bathroom complete with shower or bath and a hairdryer, air conditioning, ceiling fan, telephone, satellite TV, safety deposit box, mini-bar, terrace, coffee- and tea-making equipment and iron.
The ‘Junior Suites’ rooms also have a sofa bed and hydro massage bath: the ‘Mayan’ rooms have their own individual entrances, a Mayan-style outdoor shower and hydro massage bath. ‘Suites’ are characterized by their spacious lounges provided with a sofa bed, wide bedroom with a corner for use as a living room and bathroom with separate hydro massage bath and shower.
